Final tips and pointers

This party really can be done with many objects and games that you already have at your house. Use your imagination and see how resourceful you can be to make this a truly unique (and low cost) party.

As with many kids parties, crowd control is critical. So why not dress yourself up as a lifeguard complete with whistle?

Invitations:

Decorations:

	Balloons We combined yellow balloons with blue streamers for an sun and see effect. You can purchase a wide variety of balloons at Oriental Trading, but similar balloons are likely available at your local party store, which is a better option if you plan to have them helium filled.

	Beach balls We recommend a bunch of small balls for the inflatable pool and a few large ones in the general beach area. Oriental Trading sells both.
	Palm tree This is an absolute must for your beach party. It is great for taking pictures next to, and is that added touch that will make your party atmosphere extra special. Available at Oriental Trading.

Activities:

	Surfboards These can be made from poster board cut in the shape of surfboards. You should be able to get two boards from each sheet.
	Tattoos What would a beach party be without tattooed kahunas? We find these are always a crowd pleaser for the younger kids. A large selection is available at Oriental Trading
	Pool Jumping in an inflatable pool full of inflatable toys in the middle of the winter (if that's when your party is) is a great experience. The pool will be a highlight for many kids at the party.
	Grass skirts / Leis / etc A selection of grass skirts, leis and any other props you can come up with, will make picture taking next to the palm tree extra special.

Favors:

	Buckets Who needs favor bags when you can put everything in a plastic pale for the kids to take home? A good selection is available at Oriental Trading.
	Beach balls Small balls can be taken from the inflatable pool for favors, or you can have uninflated balls in the favor bags.
	Sunglasses These can be bought in bulk at oriental trading. You can either give these away at the picture taking area or in a favor bag at the end.
	Tattoo stickers An easy favor bag stuffer and always a crowd pleaser for the younger kids. A large selection is available at Oriental Trading.
	Sand art This is a great craft for kids to take home and a perfect accompaniment to a beach themed party. A good select is available at Oriental Trading.
